ANSWERS
Should I register at
competing sites?
It can be confusing. There are other
survey sites that do what we do, which is to inform you of survey
opportunities. Because these other survey sites know about surveys that
we do not, we suggest that you register with them, even though they are,
technically, a competitor.
What if I don't want any
phone calls?
The best way to not receive a phone call is
to leave the phone number field blank on any survey, including ours. If
the survey won't let you proceed without the phone number field filled
in, I suggest you abandon that survey. If you give your phone number,
you can probably count on getting a phone call at some point.
What if I only want cash
surveys? Yes, there are real surveys that pay cash. The
trouble is, how do you make sure your name bubbles to the top when the
researchers are putting together a panel? The answer is to have your
name in as many databases as possible. It's a numbers game that takes
time, work, persistence, patience and a dose of good humor. Good luck!
Should I download survey
software? The subject of survey downloads such as the one
required by Permission Research, Opinion Square, Nielsen Net Ratings and
others is a controversial topic among our members. In the end, we
decided the best thing was to provide the links to such surveys, but not
to require them to recieve the $10 payout. You are in the company of
many fine survey-takers when you say you will not perform software
downloads from a research company.
How many surveys can I expect?
The quantity of surveys depends on many factors that you
cannot control, such as age, gender, where you live, and so on. The best
way to ensure the maximum number of opportunities is to register at as
many survey research panels as possible. We will try to keep you
informed as opportunities become available.
What if I don't want to give out the information they're asking?
Market researchers love information, because it helps them
get the best results. But you should never give out information that you
do not feel comfortable giving.
How do I get a free,
survey email address?
We recommend you have a separate
email account for your surveys. Fortunately, there are plenty of free
email services. We recommend Yahoo. Go to:
https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail
How
do I get paid?
Surveys pay in different ways. Some pay
cash to your paypal account, as we do. Others have you earn points,
which you can redeem for products or cash.
How do I cut and paste?
To cut and paste, place your mouse at the upper left corner of the text
you want to copy. Left-click. While holding down the left button drag
your mouse to the lower right corner of the text you want to copy.
Release the button. Now right click. A menu appears. Choose "Copy." Now
go to your document. Place the curser where you want to paste. Right
click. Select "paste." The confirmation will appear.
Do I have to buy things?
In our opinion, you should not buy anything just to complete a
survey and earn a reward. However, many members do buy things that they
would have wanted anyway, thereby earning a reward they would not have
otherwise received. In the end, it's up to you.
What if I have no credit card?
You do not need a credit card to do online surveys. If a
survey is asking for credit card information, then WATCH OUT, it is
probably trying to sell you something.
What if the survey
won't take my postal code?
Not all surveys are valid for
all people. For example, a California college may not be interested in
the education preferences of a New Englander. It is possible that this
survey is not available in your postal code.
How do I reduce the amount
of SPAM? We all have that problem. You may be surprised,
but the unsubscribe links in their emails do indeed work. Be sure to
unsubscribe from the link for the main email list, NOT just the
particular advertisement they are sending at that time.
What if I don't
want to get a PayPal account?
Some people feel as you do
about PayPal. You need PayPal to receive cash rewards from some surveys,
but you don't need to use PayPal to do all surveys. There are plenty of
great surveys that reward you in other ways, like gift cards, prizes and
free samples.
I'm not
from USA, Canada, UK or Australia. What do I do?
It's
true that there are fewer survey opportunities for your country, but
there are some, which are listed on the international page of The Survey
Pro:
http://www.thesurveypro.com/international.htm
Opportunities for surveys do come up for your country,
and when they do, we try to send out an email immediately. So be sure to
watch for email alerts about new surveys.
Is
this a scam?
We are a free service that tries to inform
survey-takers about potential survey opportunities. Some survey-takers
have a great experience, others, frankly, do not and give up. All we can
promise is that we will do our best to keep you informed about what is
happening in the "survey space." The rest is up to you. Good luck, and
remember to have fun!
How do I get free advise?
Simply click on the I NEED HELP link on any page on our website. A live
operator will respond within 48 hours.
How do I subscribe for free?
Our free subscription form is located in the upper left hand
corner of every page on our website.
How do I unsubscribe? Every email from us contains a link
at the bottom to change your personal information or unsubscribe. Just
click on this link. The change takes effect immediately.
Why don't you have a phone
number? We do not have a phone support capability. The
email ticketing system you are using now enables us to serve our
members. Please feel free to use it at any time.
Are you a member of the BBB?
No. It's expensive. But membership is not required to have a clean
record with the BBB, and you will find that we are committed to
resolving all reasonable complaints against Survey Advise.
What if the
link redirects to a different site?
If the link takes you
to a different page, that probably means you are not eligible for this
survey, and we are redirecting you to a survey that is available in your
area, and which may be of interest.
Did you sell my email address?
Absolutely not. Unfortunately, some survey sites you'll be dealing with
do not have the same scruples. For this reason, we strongly recommend
that you obtain a free yahoo or hotmail email address for your survey
work.
